User Agreement

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Kontrakto ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by this User Agreement. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Kontrakto provides AI-powered contract analysis. You upload documents and receive automated reports highlighting key clauses, risks, obligations, and other relevant information. The Service is intended for informational purposes only and does not constitute legal advice.

3. Account Responsibilities

• You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Upload documents that you do not have the right to share or analyze.
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the Service.
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
• Share your account credentials with others or allow multiple users to access a single account.

5. Subscription and Payments

Some features require a paid subscription. Payments are processed through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges at the applicable rate. You may cancel at any time through the billing portal in your account settings. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis.

6. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of any documents you upload. Kontrakto retains all rights to the Service, including its software, design, and AI models. The analysis reports generated by the Service are provided for your personal or business use and may not be resold.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. Kontrakto does not guarantee that the AI analysis will be complete, accurate, or error-free. The Service does not replace professional legal counsel. You should always consult a qualified attorney for legal advice.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kontrakto shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, arising from your use of the Service.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if you violate this Agreement. You may close your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately, and we may delete your data after a reasonable retention period.

10. Changes to This Agreement

We reserve the right to modify this User Agreement at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice on the platform. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
